TelpinTV
Streaming Platform & Digital Broadcast System
Web Development | Live Streaming & Real-Time Content Management
Overview
I was commissioned by Telpin, a telecommunications cooperative based in Pinamar, Argentina, to design and develop the digital platform for TelpinTV, a local news broadcasting channel.
This project involved the creation of a full-stack web platform for live streaming, real-time content management and multi-source video integration, combining frontend and backend development with broadcast-oriented design.
Project Scope
The objective was to build a complete digital broadcasting system, enabling:
• Live video streaming from proprietary servers
• Real-time news updates
• Integration of multiple live camera feeds
• Access to historical broadcast content
The platform was designed to function as a central hub for local news distribution, combining television logic with web-based interaction.
Frontend Development
The frontend interface was designed to deliver a broadcast-style user experience, including:
• Full-screen live video streaming
• Real-time news ticker (headline overlay)
• Integrated weather information
• Access to live camera feeds across the city
The visual structure prioritized clarity, immediacy and continuous information flow, similar to traditional TV broadcast systems.
Backend & Content Management System

A custom backend system was developed to manage content dynamically.
Key features included:
• Real-time headline management
• Live content updates during broadcast
• Organization and indexing of historical programs
• Media library for archived transmissions
This system allowed operators to control the platform in real time, ensuring continuous and up-to-date information delivery.
Multi-Camera Integration
One of the key features of the platform was the integration of nine live camera feeds, capturing:
• Coastal areas
• Urban streets
• Key locations within the city
This functionality provided users with live situational awareness, enhancing the platform’s value as a local information system.
Technical Challenges
The project involved several complex challenges:
• Synchronization between streaming servers and web interface
• Real-time data updates without interrupting live video
• Integration of multiple content layers (video, text, data)
• Scalability and stability of the platform
The result was a hybrid system combining broadcasting logic with web technologies.
Collaboration
This project was developed in collaboration with:
Juan Manuel Sorrentino — Design
Leandro Folino — Programming
Their contributions were essential in achieving a robust and functional system.
