CARRUS
Horse Racing Management System (France)
UX/UI Design, Data Systems & Interface Architecture
Overview
In collaboration with a development partner based in Paris, I contributed to the design of a horse racing management platform for Carrus, a company specialized in digital systems for the horse racing industry in France.
My role focused on the design of user interfaces and system interaction, supporting a platform used to manage race-related data and operations.
Project Scope
The project involved the development of a data-driven management system for horse racing operations, requiring:
• Structured visualization of complex datasets
• Real-time interaction with race information
• Efficient navigation across multiple system layers
The platform needed to support professional users working with high volumes of operational data.
UX/UI Design
I was responsible for the design of the system interface, focusing on:
• Clear presentation of race data and results
• Intuitive navigation across modules
• Visual hierarchy for time-sensitive information
• Usability in high-focus operational environments
The interface was designed to balance data density with clarity, ensuring efficient decision-making.
System Design Approach
The design process required translating complex domain-specific workflows into usable interfaces.
Key considerations included:
• Structuring information for rapid interpretation
• Minimizing cognitive load in data-heavy environments
• Aligning interface logic with operational workflows
Technical Context
The platform operated as a specialized management system, integrating:
• Race scheduling
• Participant data
• Results tracking
• Operational workflows
